Anyone tried one of these OBD2 Performance Chip Tuning Boxes?
I bought a Universal Diesel Nitro OBD2 Performance Chip Tuning Box off eBay (£6.70,free p&p) a few weeks back, plugged it into my S Type and so far after about 300 miles I've gained about 3 mpg and the car is more responsive.
It claims to give 35% more power & 25% more torque. How you measure it I've no idea but it definitely has made a difference.
It works by continually remapping the ECU computer based on drivers habits.
Does nothing permanent and if unplugged the ECU resets itself back to normal. For the price it will soon pay for itself.
It's suitable for all cars sold after January 1, 1996 in the USA
cars sold after January 1, 2001 in the European Union
Cars with diesel engines sold after January 1, 2003
Just thought it might help others.
